South Asian Mental Health
-

As a South Asian psychologist, I recognize that mental health exists within the context of culture, family, and community. Many South Asian individuals and children of immigrants carry the unspoken weight of expectations, to succeed, to care for others, to maintain harmony, often while quietly navigating their own stress, identity questions, or emotional pain.
In therapy, we make space for all of it. Using a culturally informed, relational, and psychodynamic approach, we’ll explore how cultural values, family dynamics, and intergenerational experiences shape the way you see yourself and move through the world. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based practices to help you find grounding and clarity as you redefine balance and belonging on your own terms.
Whether you’re working through anxiety, depression, family conflict, identity development, work stress, or the pressures of bicultural life, our work will focus on reconnecting with your voice and your values. You don’t have to choose between honoring your culture and caring for yourself. Both can coexist in harmony.
